      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;i have installed postfix on a RH 7.2 as mail server and trying to send mails from other two RH 7.2 clients. &lt;BR /&gt;If i use kmail i send and recieve mails without problems.&lt;BR /&gt;Now i want to send emails from command line using mail command (so i'm notified when i run scripts), but i don't know what to configure..&lt;BR /&gt;does mail command use sendmail?&lt;BR /&gt;can someone give me a hint?&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in advance &lt;BR /&gt;Tarek</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is this the recipient address you are using ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;franzd@10.113.193.63&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then your recipient address format is wrong. you have use like this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;franzd@[10.113.193.63]&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Eg:-&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#mail franzd@[10.113.193.63]&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now the mail should be delivered to franzd at 10.113.193.63&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards,&lt;BR /&gt;U.SivaKumar&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

Thanks.&lt;BR /&gt;Now if i put that server in the /etc/hosts it should work right?&lt;BR /&gt;do i have to specify also the domain or not?&lt;BR /&gt;I had also modified two lines&lt;BR /&gt;of /etc/sendmail.cf:&lt;BR /&gt;# SMTP daemon options&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#O DaemonPortOptions=Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA&lt;BR /&gt;O DaemonPortOptions=Port=smtp,Addr=10.113.193.63, Name=10.113.193.63&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# SMTP client options&lt;BR /&gt;#O ClientPortOptions=Address=0.0.0.0&lt;BR /&gt;O ClientPortOptions=Address=10.113.192.197&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;is it right?&lt;BR /&gt;in the client port i put my ip (client) and the other is the server.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks again.</description>
