Well I succeeded in pushing the DA & core to the linux box. I ran a preview of a backup session and it failed with IPC host name or ip address not found. On the linux box the inet log reports: A request 3 came from host xxx.xx.xx.ww which is not a cell mgr of this client!!!

I am a newbie RH Linux 7.0 admin and would appreciate some feedback. I am trying to configure the omniback client on linux (in dmz)to connect to the cell mgr (intranet). The OB2PORTRANGE has been modified but in the secure log on linux I see FAIL: omni libwrap. Is there something else I need to add/modify? I added an entry in /etc/xinetd.d for omni do I need an entry in /etc/pam.d as well?
