https://community.hpe.com/t5/operating-system-linux/ftp-problem/m-p/2710827#M90040 Its possible that you your ftp server (default on redhat its wu-ftpd) is set to deny anonymous access to the server.<BR /><BR />You can check your /etc/ftpaccess file, in there you can specify all deny/allow rules (and more).<BR /><BR />Also in your /etc/ftpusers file you can specify wich loginames are not allowed to login.<BR /><BR />To find out WHY access is not allowed, check your /var/log/messages files. The attemted login and failed reason will be logged there.
