can i install 32 bit java version 1.4.2.11 on itanium hpux box which is aleady running 64 bit java .

Shalom,

If you can find or compile a 32 bit java on the Itanium box it will likely run very well.

The 32 support in IA-64 Itaniniums running HP-UX is excellent.

When you install java, you typically get both a 32 and 64 bit versions.
