I would at least check with ping and traceroute that no network problem exists.

I was not aware that HP certified OV on the Red Hat AS 3.0 platform. If they did its with the update 1 release, not the original.

If you are not on update 1 you need to update.

SEP

Hello,
I have ovpa service running on a RH EL 3.0
Linux server with all the daemons active
except for ttd.
From an HP-UX perfview I'm unable to connect.
I receive:

Could not connect to MeasureWare perfdb on xxx (PV11-31)

Any hints on how to connect or check for further errors to have it working?
I have other HP-UX servers within the same LAN of Linux one and I'm able to connect, so it
should not be a network related problem.
Thanks in advance.
Bye,
Gianluca

It seems that the problem is related to daemon rep_server not running on the Linux server to monitor and perfview can not connect.
It is not part of the OVPA installation.
Anyone knows where to find rep_server daemon for linux?
Thanks,
Gianluca

I have the same exact problem with the same exact configuration. I guess we need to open a ticket with HP, huh?

Also, I cannot get my HP-UX perview software to read extract data from my linux server. When I attempt to connect to the local data source (after the rep_server is started for that data on the HP-UX server), I get "Could not connect to measureware agent data source on [hp server]. (PV11-32)" Have you had that problem?
