Hi Ralph,

I guess it is due to Redhat's acquisition of JBoss. They might have changed the licensing. HP took out JBoss from Internet express and you may need to check this : http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=JBOSS-SUBSCRIPTION

-Arun

Hello,

I need to install the latest HP JBoss port for HP-UX 11.11 on PARISC.

I have an Internet Express CD set Version A.05.00 for HP-UX 11i Vers. 1 dated from June 2005 on my desk.

Now I searched HP Websites far and wide but could only find links to the usual press hyperbole of HP's JBoss commitment.
At least JBoss seems to have disappeared from the software list on the latest Internet Express suite

http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=HPUXIEXP1111

Why did it disappear?
Have the licensing terms changed?
Where can I download the latest JBoss port for HP-UX?

Rgds.
Ralph

Ralph,

As you've noticed, the JBoss bits are not in the Internet Express depots any longer. However, as another poster pointed out, the bits for HP-UX can be obtained directly from JBoss at their web site. Follow the link provided in that response. Note that these bits are still free, so this isn't an attempt to get money from you :-). What will cost you a little bit of money is if you want to have full HP support for the JBoss App Server (and/or other JBoss products). See the following links for more info and contact your HP sales rep if you want to explore this further.

JBoss Subscription for HP-UX:
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=JBOSS-SUBSCRIPTION
http://h20219.www2.hp.com/services/cache/390922-0-0-225-121.html
http://h20219.www2.hp.com/services/cache/315117-0-0-225-121.html

Open Source Reference Architecture for Web Services:
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=OSRA-WS

If you have trouble finding what you need, please let us know.
Hello Guys,

I apologize for my belated response.
But I have only received a thread continuation notification today.
Also the ITRC webservers' responsiveness has considerably degraded recently.
Times where my HTTP requests simply timeout without a server response seem to pile up.

It's a pitty that JBoss isn't bundled anymore with the Internet Express.
Sadly I cannot install the 4.0.1 release which came on my June 2005 IE CD because the application developers insist on having release 4.0.2 at minimum.
So they will be providing their own JBoss.
I'm not particularly fond of that because having had a sound HP SD depot installed would have been a much cleaner solution for me that simply having unjared a Java archive of maybe dubious origin, sigh...
