Perhaps someone in the HP labs has seen something that can gracefully clean up some of these issues. Just curious. Thanks. A good example is a user rebooted on dhcp came back on a different ip and they have a nfs mounted home directory and they use the posix shell. The shell will try to lock the .sh_history file and lockd/statd may still think its in use.
