I have a number of left over 18.2 GB scsi drives from a server upgrade, we want to use these drives in workstations as they still have significant value, the drives are 18.2 GB 10k wide ultra 2, CPQ mdl# BDO18122c9, cpq part # 127980-001, the we have gotten the right scsi terms, and cable and have hooked them up with power running to the drive over the ide cable but with no luck...?

Hi,

I don't get this question too...
It looks like you try to use a SCSI disk on and IDE cable and controller?

This won't work.

If you have left over 18.2 GB IDE disks and they won't work then check if there is one master IDE disk and slave IDE disk if you put in two disk on the IDE bus. The master and slave is set by jumpers on the IDE HDD.

Regards,
Bob
