Hello,

This should be a Fast Wide Differential SCSI HBA card. Those are 68 pins by the way.

The only concern is whether it is HVD or LVD. There should be a logo on the metal plate of it to tell you what it is. Most probably it is an HVD card though, since nowadays, LVD cards are made with VHDCI interfaces.

I'm still trying to find a link to the logos, when I find it I'll reply again.

HTH,
Vince

Hello Ken,

do you know for what internal bus the card is designed for (is it from a PA-RISC-Server or from a standard PC)?
If it is from PC:
Plug the card in any PC and listen to the messages while booting. Most FWD-SCSI-Adapters have own BIOS which shows first informations like manufactor, product name etc. at bootup.
If this information is insufficient, you can boot from a linux install medium (without installing if you want) and retrieve some interesting informations about the installed hardware.

Dirk

More details about my mysterious SCSI card:

- The card came from a DEC Alpha server. The server no longer works.

Here are the numbers and information that I found printed on the card:

- 68 pin internal and external connectors

- 50-24738-01 A01 L6
- C 1995 Digital Equipment Corp
- digital AACC-2 94V-1 08696-692Q
- 5424739
- 50-24738-01 A01 L1

On a sticker on the card:
- 54-24739-01
- A01
- Ka621PDLCV

On the processor:
- digital
- 9602 D464731
- VY06867-
- Decchip 21050
- DC7526C

On the second processor:
- glogic Corp
- ISP1020A 2405061
- JA T9N45AE
- USPAT#5.276.807
- 9538EAI

Anything you can tell me about this card would be helpful. I've tried searching the HP/Compaq support web site. However, I can not find anything that can identify this product from DEC.

Hi
looks like it is a KZPBA-AA DEC Qlogic QLA1020a Wide PCI SE.
Or maybe it is a KZPDA-AA.
Anyway it uses the Qlogic 1020A chip. You can search in google for this cards/ this chip to get driver for various operating systems.
regards
Dirk
