topic changing adapter scsi id on J6000 in Disk

Does anyone on this forum have experience in changing the scsi id of a A5856A RAID 4Si SCSI adapter on a J6000 workstation? I want to change it from 7 to 6 so that two hosts can share the same SCSI bus without SCSI conflict. The other host's SCSI adapter id will remain at 7. On some servers, you can change the adapter SCSI id via the boot handler menu using the SCSI init command but the J6000 menu doesn't allow that. There are jumpers on the A5856A but some of the jumpers functions are unknown. Can I set the SCSI id through them? There is a 9 pin serial port on the A5856A SCSI card, is that a way to enter the bios and change the SCSI id?

Anybody???

Donald
What kind of storage device are you using, as some storage devices allow you to modify the scsi ID's?

According to the documentation:
Features Not Supported

The new version (HP part number A5856-60101) of the HP RAID 4Si controller does not support the following features:

* Multi-Initiator (connecting more than one controller to a single JBOD).

* Connectivity to internal disks.

Full document: http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/J6173-90007/00/00/4-con.html

live free or die
harry
