Janine,

Thats what I was afraid of. How about this. My raid controller is a 532 which has one internal and one external channel.

Is it possible too run a cable from the external connector back inside the server too 2 other hard drives that I could put in two free media bays?

I have a fist generation ml350 with the 4 hot swappable drive cage. Is there any way too add hard drives the the channel on my raid card that uses this drive cage or am I limited too just using the 4 drives in this cage on the channel?

Hi Nathan;

Unfortunately, you are limited to the number of drives in the hot-plug drive cage on the server.

You would have to use an external storage system on another array controller to add space in this particular configuration.

Hope that helps,

Janine

If you can find a cable with the proper connetions you can do it, but I doubt very much if it's a supported solution :-) not likely

christian
