my proliant ml350 has a hard disk capacity of 8Gbit.
I would like to add another disk to increase storage capacity. I've install it on ide bus on slave but the problem is that the pc boot on this new disk. The boot does work because there 's no OS install on it.
How can I do to add this disk without conflict with the scsi disk ?

Probably your defaults were loaded when you installed the new disk. Did you remove the system board battery?

Regarding SCSI:

As indicated you can change the BIOS boot selections to boot SCSI first.

For IDE controllers:

The first disk in BIOS always has to have the O/S and that's always the master on the 0 controller. Never the slave and never the second controller.

Why did you choose slave and not master? Is there a CDROM in the master position?

What controller are you using? 0 or 1?

Regarding "...problem is that the pc boot on this new disk...", should be double checked.
