SC10 will be just a disk enclosure which has seperate disks. If it's connected with fc60 or Raid 4Si controller card, then you can create disk array LUNs on the disks. But if not, it can be treated as disks and you can manage it with either SAM or command line.

I am about to venture into supporting an N4000 with a SC10 disk storage attached. My question is, with the SC10, do you manage this using sam and normal command line commands? Or is there seperate software like the VA7100 to control the disks?

Robert,

Unless configured with the FC60 controller, an SC10 is JBOD: there are no utilities, no special commands, just plain old disk.

Pete
