I am adding my name to the growing list here. I have a couple of Artecon LynxArrays externals that are creating similar EMS mssgs on both C class fileservers and D370s. All the machines are running 11i with gold patch sets from June 2001. I have applied various patches, called HP and even switched two of the arrays from C boxes to d370s and still get the daily mssg.

I do have one d370 in an identical configuration that is running without any EMS mssgs. The only difference here is that the array was connected to this same machine when the OS was upgraded from 10.20.

Good Luck,
Ian

We have an N class box running 11.00 attached to a Clariion SAN and are getting the same messages. ioscan reveals no problems. We have worked with HP support, installed patches and the messages continue. If you find a solution please let me know. Thanks.
johnw@furrs.com

I have a SEEK systems disk array on an L box and receive a daily message similar to yours.
Nothing is really wrong and the vendor can't see anything wrong either. It sounds like non-hp disk arrays can confuse EMS. I'm going to live with my daily message or tell EMS to ignore it. Perhaps a fix will come out later.
Mark

Hi,

Make sure you have terminator installed on the controller card or you are using a cable with inline terminator between the disk array and the system. IF this disk is part of SG shared device, it could happen due to the reset / TOC of one of the nodes.

Hope this helps.

Regds
