fc10 controller replacement question

If an FC10 has box controllers installed and one is not in use by the server, is it possible to replace this controller with out affecting the i/o's on the "live controller". Does this make any sense?

Hi Vincent,

*IF* the controller is not in use, it's safe to replace it. You have to check your volume group configuration for that.

I guess you are talking about LCC controller.

If it is not connected and in use , you can replace it. You need to make sure you have a new LCC while doing the replacement. YOu should not keel the LCC slot empty as it will
cause uneven cooling and eventual overheating.

Be aware FC 10 provides HA configuration with two LCCs for twp FC_AL loops A and B.
