hello,
last mounth, I had the same problem with a ML380G2 and the internal SA5i.
I have try to update the firmware of the raid card without any result.
I have installed an old SA3200 and the logical drive was rebuilded without problem.
to use a windows server with another raid card, boot the server with the 2 cards and the disks connected to the 1st card, install the drivers for the 2nd card.
After, you can remove or disable the 1st card, connect drives on the 2nd card and reboot the server.
Pascal

Drive Rebuild

Raid 5(hardware), Internal Drive Bay, 4 drives total, rebuild priority low...One drive went bad, replaced drive. I know the rebuild should be automatic. Usually I have no trouble with logical drives rebuilding after a physical drive replacement. Not so this time. It's 7 hours since I replaced the drive...Still shows "Ready for Rebuild" on the Sys Mgmnt Homepage.
Does anyone know of a way to manually initiate rebuild of the logical drive after the replacement of a physical drive?
