    <description>Hi, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My compaq presario X1000 died on me.  I believe the hard drive is killed.  How do I go about replacing it?  Am I bound to hard drives that use ATA-100 interfaces or is there some way to change the interface so I could install a different type of hard drive? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,Chin</description>
