Hi Duncan, thank for your response.
So it means that I can not use my DS2120 connect to two server?

rgds,
Fajar

I did the same with my MSA30 and it works, can I setup DS2120 connect to 2 server ?

Please help...

Thank you
Fajar

You mean like with an MSA30MI, or like a MSA30DB?

On the MSA30DB the unit is split in half with being seen by one SCSI bus and one being seen by another seperate SCSI bus. SO 2 hosts will see their own half of the disks

On the MSA30MI, all disks can appear on the same bus, so 2 hosts can see each physical disks.

The DS2120 works like the MSA30MI in that both hosts will see all 4 disks and you'll need to change the initiator SCSI ID of the SCSI HBA on one of the nodes.

Generally you'd only do this in a cluster.

HTH

Duncan

Without the 2 servers being run as a cluster?

I think the answer would be - it might work, but wouldn't be supported.

HTH

Duncan
