LVD is low voltage differential SCSI, 320 is the SCSI speed.

IMHO you can do this, but better check the partnumbers (e.g. A1234A) at http://partsurfer.hp.com

I have 2 disks as follows:

73G 320 15K - 2120 disk enclosure
73G LVD 15K - RP4440 computer

One is a ST373455LC and the second a MAS3735NC.

I want to use the 73G 320 as a system disk in the RP4440. The enclosure is not attached to the RP4440.

Are the disks interchangable and if not please explain why and what is 320 and what is LVD?

Thank you.

When I pulled the drive, I found that they have the same replacment part number.

I am using the disk, and it is working.
