      <description>&lt;P&gt;Was this replacement disks used in any other storage (eg. HP VA 7x00?). If so, you will need to format them via the CommandView SDM (JBODFMT) which will set the bytes per sector to 512, after which, u can use it as a normal disk in HPUX.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;gt;Given that all I/O to these disks results in a hang forever or I/O errors, trying to format them isn't going to work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Something like that happened to me.&amp;nbsp; Putting these "poison" disks into a system caused the HBA to keep crashing.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
