My understanding is as under:

To direct connect 3*2 node clusters, you need at least 6 CHIP ports.

Check if you have 4/8 port CHIPs.

sks

Hi all storage and Linux gurus,

I have XP512 disk array.

I need to connect 3 numbers of 2 node Linux Clusters based on Red Hat Advanced Server 2.1.

My question is

How many dedicated CHIP pairs do I need on the XP512 side.

As per my last update, Linux always need "LUN 0" and since there can only be one "LUN 0" on each CHIP pair, so to connect 3 cluster I necessarily need to have 3 PAIRS just for this purpose !

Thanks for suggesting the best way to do this.

regards,

Mahesh
