I have a smart array 3200 controller and i want to install it on Proliant ML530 server,when the servers try to initialize the controller it failled,is this controller comatible with the ML530 and if its not,please help me to find a way to install it,i want to make a RAID5 with 3x36GB HDD,i dont have any drivers for this smart array.im waiting your reply.

What kind of error do you get?
Does the controller function in an other system?

the error message is:
1783 Smart Array 3200 Controller failed to initialise" "cmd=11h err=020h"
this is the error appear,i dont instal it on other system.

I think your SA3200 controller is defective. If there is a hardware contract or waranty on it have it replaced.

the story is that i ordered a smart array controller (5312)for the ML530 server but its delayed,so the vendor gives me the smart array controller 3200 temprory till my card comes,the SA 3200 is uses,(if you please tell me if this smart array 3200 compatible with ML530,so if i ask them to replace it with other one if they have)my server is ML530 G2 3GHz/512Kb Dual Processor.i want to implment RAID5 on 3x36GB U320 SCSI HDD.waiting your reply.

the 3200 controller is supported, so are the disks. I have good hope that a replacement controller resolves the problem
