    <description>Ralph,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The only thing the manual says is "Caution!  The power module is hot pluggable only if a  second power module is present and operating.  If you remove the only power module in the storage system, the storage system and all modules lose power."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'd say swap it!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pete</description>

      <title>HAS power supply module defunct</title>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;in a HAS cabinet attached to one of our old K-class boxes one of two mains power supply modules bit the dust.&lt;BR /&gt;Because these items aren't monitored by EMS daemons it must have gone unnoticed.&lt;BR /&gt;(btw, is there a way to monitor these, maybe by a home brewn hack?)&lt;BR /&gt;Since we still have a few of these HAS boxes lingering (decommissioned) around I would like to steal from one of their power supplies.&lt;BR /&gt;These things look as if they were hot swappable.&lt;BR /&gt;Is it (reasonably) save to do so, or is a full power cycling of the server necessary?</description>
