I have a new server config ML370 G3. We installed the OS on Raid 1 and are getting ready for an Oracle installation. I need to move the OS from raid 1 in the Storage Works Drive Cage to the Server itself. I moved them up and now the controller wants to erase the disks to recreate raid 1. I am stuck because I re-initiliazed the cage for my data drives. Can I fix this without reinstalling the OS?

Did you migrate the Mirror off of the 6400 series on to a 5i controller of the ML370G3?

If you did, you need to set the "boot order" to be the 5i as the first boot device.

We did try that. It recognized the drives but it turned them off. I am not sure but I don't think the 370 we have has an internernal raid. The scsi controller in it will not turn on the drives. It recognizes they are there it it's bios, but it will not light them up.
