    <description>Rene:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   If you go into the ACU and click on your array, on the right hand side, a menu should appear.  The option to expand the array should be there at that point.  Click the expand link and select your new drives.       <title>expand raid 0+1</title>

      <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i have a raid 0+1 with 2 harddisks.&lt;BR /&gt;Now i bought another 2 harddisks with the same size. i want to expand the logical drive to have more resources. what i have to do ???&lt;BR /&gt;must i delete the mirror first ???&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;when i use the express wizard in acu to expand the array they will create a new logical drive but i dont want a new one. Or should i use the configuration wizard to expand the array ? when i use the configuration wizard they appears an dialog wheere i can add two disks to the existing array and they show me a container with free space below the logical drive.. is this the right step ??&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanx for help..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rene&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;p.s. i use a proliant dl380g3 with smartarray 5i and acu 7.15</description>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i did it :)&lt;BR /&gt;it works fine atm &lt;BR /&gt;3% in 30 mins.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have i something to do with diskpart or anything else after that to expand the partition ???&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;well i will see :)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thx mate&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rene</description>

      <description>After the array expansion is finished, you need to then expand your logical drive(s). Just click your logical drive within ACE and then the expand link. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you want to expand your C: partition, diskpart.exe will NOT work.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you have a data drive, or partition, diskpart.exe shouod work..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Microsoft has a decent article on theusage of diskpart.exe.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;325590" target="_blank"&gt;http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;325590&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steven</description>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;all works fine now.&lt;BR /&gt;The logical drive is extendet and no problems occured.&lt;BR /&gt;The only thing i have to do was to update the array firmware and driver.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;After that i expandet my logical drive in the acu and then with diskpart.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thx Rene&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
