I have an ML350 server with LC2 controller and configured raid 5 on three disks. I want add fourth disk and set as spare (three disks are urtra 3 scsi and fourth ultra320). But i can't take it from LC2 setup utility, and i can't setup ACU to this server (it write - The software does not need to be installed on this system.).Where is my problem - in different disks or in LC2 controller?

Vladimir:

Update the Controller Driver for your O/S (you did not mention if it was NT/Win2K/Win2K3) from here:

Next, update the bios, if necessary, for the controller. It would be best to perform this update "offline" either with a SmartStart (6.x or later version) or with the ROMPaq diskettes.

The download the version of ACU listed from the above link for your O/S. This should get you going.

Thanks for your help John. I tried update bios of LC2 controller, but it has last version and update not necessary... Also i update last driver for LC2 - but ACU not installing, and i tried run ACU from SmartStart CD - it write that can not find any controllers... May by it bad controller(although all disks in raid 5 are working)?

I have problem with LC2 controller managing in Server 2003. Anyone have ACU that works in 2003 for LC2 Controller? Need to adjust rebuild prioritiest etc,
