      <description>Can a 76Gb drive be added to our previous 3 36Gb drives under RAID 5? If so will it be used to its full capacity or just 36Gb of it, as I've heard is the case.</description>

      <description>It really depends on the type of RAID controller you have, which you did not mention. In case you are talking about SmartArray or HSG/Z controllers, the answer is 36 GB.</description>

      <description>The EVA (Enterprise Virtual Array) systems can truly use different sized disks in a disk group although we are no longer talking about simple RAID sets, here.</description>
