Hi,
We have a DL580 G2 running Win2k server which uses a 5302 smart array as its boot controller and we are wanting to upgrade it to the 6402 smart array.
I've tried installing the drivers and swapping the cards over, it blue screens when windows tries to boot, I've updated the firmware using the latest smart start CD, it blue screens. What is the best way to upgrade the boot controller in this case??

Thanks in advance
Hi Karl,
Make sure you have the newest 5x/6x controller drivers.

What I've done is I install the new controller (6402) next to the current controller.
Boot Windows and let the 6402 controller install.
Shut down the server, unplug the disk cage from the 5302 controller and plug it into the 6402 controller.
Take out the 5302 controller.
Power on the server
Hit F8 during post to set the 6402 as boot controller.
Boot up.
