FYI.....

The resolution to this issue was that we had to perform a "Save State Reset" on the ESS (Shark) in order to reinitialize all the fiber channel adapters and disks. Once it was complete, the V2600 could then see all the disks....Hope this helps...thanks

I have a HP V2600 server running HPUX 11.00 attached to a IBM ESS (Shark). I'm experiencing a issue with getting the server to configure the vpaths upon reboot as well as the "vgchange -a y" command seems to hang up while attempting to manually activate the volume groups. As anyone seen this problem with IBM Shark attached to HP server?

Is this SCSI or Fibre? Has this ever worked for you yet, or are you at the initial setup stage of this?

Connecting to the Shark is a pain in the rear. You have to make sure you are using supported 'everything', and that your firmware is at something near current for each piece down the line.

John
