The reason 3rd party hard drives should not be used on any of the Array controllers is that the RIS tables on the Compaq Hard Drives has been engineered to communicate with the Array Controllers. The Quantum drives can be used on the embedded controller with no fault tolerance. Also, the jumper settings on the Quantum drives can be obtained from the <A href="http://www.Quantum.com" target="_blank">www.Quantum.com</A> website. Search on hard drives&gt;jumper settings matrix.
