    <description>If I have an existing EVA3000 with 2 controllers and 2 filled trays and would like to add more disk can I just add 2 more trays to the existing controllers I am assuming I will have to bump my OV SOM lic up&lt;BR /&gt;appreciate the help</description>

      <description>The simple answer is yes.  The EVA3000 2C2D can be expanded out to a 2C4D by adding 2 additional 5414R disk shelves.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you look around the forms a bit, there are some posts pertaining to adding shelves and procedures, best practices, etc..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Basicly, it is best to plan for some downtime.... shut the unit down, install/connect the shelves, power it back up. Once your shelves are online and confirmed working, I would then add your disks.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steven</description>
