Hello Lars,
you can re-use an M4314 or M4354 disk drive enclosure. For new buys you'd choose either the MSA30 SB or MSA30 DB enclosure.

SB = single bus - all 14 disks connect to the same SCSI bus

DB = dual bus - 7 disk on the left side go to one bus, 7 disks on the right side go to the other bus

The MSA1000 has two external busses, so you can use:
- 2x M4314 or MSA30 SB
- 1x M4354 or MSA30 DB

For the MSA30 you'd need recent firmware in the MSA1000.

MSA1000 product page:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/msa1000/index.html

MSA30 product page:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/sharedstorage/sacluster/msa30/index.html
