    <description>Oh....&lt;BR /&gt;I forgot: The VA only automatic rebuild if you set it.&lt;BR /&gt;In other case, you have to rebuild the VA manually.&lt;BR /&gt;There are two ways to do it: by command line and by CommmandView SDM.&lt;BR /&gt;But recommend by commandview sdm&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best and regard,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Jimkery</description>

      <description>Hi All&lt;BR /&gt;      Can you tell me the procedure for replacing the hdd in va7400 in raid 5 and in autoraid .and the shutdown procedure of the va7400.and is thr any document available for the getting the inf about the following thing .&lt;BR /&gt;1.Which s/w we can use for multipathing &lt;BR /&gt;2.Is it cahnge the hdd by connecting a console &lt;BR /&gt;3.commands for monitoring the array&lt;BR /&gt;4 cheching the logs .</description>

      <description>Hi kamal&lt;BR /&gt;You can follow these procedure:&lt;BR /&gt;1. remove the old disk.&lt;BR /&gt;2. Waiting for the VA rebuil.&lt;BR /&gt;3. When REBUILD finish, plug the new one.&lt;BR /&gt;4.       <description>Hi Kamal&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can verify it: to check does the commandview sdm was installed on your system by "swlist" command.&lt;BR /&gt;If you have the result will like that:&lt;BR /&gt;"CMDVIEWSDM  A.1.04.00  hp command view sdm "&lt;BR /&gt;The A.1.04.00 show you the version.&lt;BR /&gt;You can not see it because you do not install commandview sdm.&lt;BR /&gt;You have to buy this software! Not *FREE*.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Verry sorry because my internet speed.       <description>For HPUX you can use straight LVM alternate paths.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For windows systems you need autopath.  The new versions of securepath include both the autopath drivers and the securepath drivers.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;During the install you are asked if you want to install the autopath drivers.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;autopath is the only driver that works with the va even though it's now marketed under the securepath name.</description>
