I have array B with Logical drive 2, size xxxx, RAID 5. I added 2 new 72.4 gb drives then extended array to include these drives. Now it lists Logical drive 2 & Unused space 144.8 gb, which is correct. However when I go to expand Logical drive 2 to incorporate the unused space it only lets me add a third of what the unused space is. What gives?

Sounds about right. The remainder is accounted for by the Raid5 overhead.
It's not right. Raid overhead would not remain listed as unused space. Thanks though

Here is the screen shot, I put it into a PDF. What you see is what I get when I when I choose Standard configuration and it shows me what what I can do with that logical drive. I added what I could (about 52 gig) from the unused space into the logical drive 2. Thats why unused space is listed at 103gb when it's two 74.2 gb drives. Windows shows what I could add as unallocated space but it doesn't give me any options to expand it into the existing drive.

Brett,
I had an issue almost the same. I had to update the controller firmware then update the ACU. Then everything went fine.

Fred
