Thank you for the response,

that really helps.
Als far as I know the I/O module is "hot swappable" whereby the EMU module is not. Is that correct?

For some reason the SCSI heartbeat LED is not flashing at one Storage Array 30 and it is not recognized correctly on the MSA 1000. Error message is " 412 EMU not responding".

The plan is to power cycle the MSA 1000 in order to see if it initializes correctly then.

Best regards
Christian
I have a question to the EMU Module of a dual bus enclosure. Do I have to exchange the EMU module as well or am I OK by simply swapping the I/O module.

Is the EMU module always the same regardless of single or double bus?

Best regards
Christian
A MSA30 enclosure has the same emu regardless I/O module.

Quote;
NOTE: A U320 compatible EMU is required for a U320 I/O module. This is included with a MSA30 but must be deployed if an upgrade option kit is purchased for a StorageWorks 4200/4300 Enclosure.

KurtG
