Tried to flush 5i with Maintenance CD 7.30 but it only detects ROM (BIOS). Does this mean my 5i is dead? How can i reprogram it if it is in a "17XX Lock-up State" if i can't access it with Maintenance CD?

just a suggestion.
remove your disks and do a system erase. If the server then appears to boot cleanly download the firmware maintenance CD 7.2 burn the ISO and update all Hardware.

I had this problem this week on two different servers, one a DL380 and the other an ML370, both with 5i controller boards. On one of the servers reseating the 5i card worked, on the other I needed to replace the board.
Try reseating the 5i board, if that doesn't work then replace the 5i card.

Marc
