I have heard that for the new EVA’s 4000/6000/8000 there is a chance to force the grouping of the RSS’s to 6 disk.
Does anybody know if that is true and how to configure this. Are there any prerequisites for that?
I have searched on the customers side at an EVE4000 installation but I couldn’t find anything in Command View about that.
Hi,
If you want RSS in 6 disks I suggest to keep 12 disks per disk group. If one failes then RSS become 11!
I am not sure how to force it in EVA4K.

Just a thought
Regds
TT

Hi Paul

Still now there is no official document on this from HP.As per my knowledge it remains as 8 disk even in the new EVA4000/6000/8000.

Regards
S.Arunkumar
