    <description>I confirmed this is correct behavior with Compaq tech support.  Seems to be a rather poor design choice though.  2MB of cache isn't going to give you much.</description>

      <description>Hi !! &lt;BR /&gt;I have one SMART ARRAY 431 Controller Instaled on Proliant ML 370. &lt;BR /&gt;Version of the controller firmware is 1.18. the ACU display ARRAY acelerator with 2MB !!! The Controller has 16MB ?? &lt;BR /&gt;as I decide this problem</description>

      <description>We also noticed that today.  It appears that the card only use 2MB for cache and the rest is used for configuration.  Also we noted that since this card has no battery backup of the cache we can not do write-thru caching.  I don't know where the other 14MB of cache go but this appears to be the case with all of the Compaq Smart-Array controllers.</description>
