VA7410 LCC firmware upgrade / Array erratic behaviour

Greetings,

Did anyone try to perform an online firmware upgrade for DS2405 LCCs ?

Our VA7410 is reporting missing drives,loss of redundancy and Data unavailable, but all the disks are present.
This occurred after replacing a failed disk.
From the 'armdsp' output, it seems the array is still flagging the replaced drive as missing.

Looking at all the Severity 3 errors/warnings, it seems only the 2405 enclosures with firmware HP04 are having problems, hence my original question.

I believe the HP04 firmware for the DS2405 had a lot of backend FC loop problems and other stability issues. The current firmware for DS2405 is HP05. I would highly recommend you have your DS2405s upgraded.

Do you know if the DS2405 LCC FW can be upgraded online ?
We're 24x7 and it will be hard to bring down the array at any point in the near future.
I guess the same q"online" uestion goes for the main enclosure also (running A100 right now).

If you don't already have it, you'll find the firmware here:

But after installing the firmware the array is rebooting, so it is unavailable for about one minute. It's recommended to stop all disk activity for the upgrade (even it may work online).

Do you know if the entire array reboots, or just the enclosure ?
If just the enclosure the disruption should be minimal and we may be able to work around it.

The array is rebooting ... not just the enclosure, because it is re-initializing the internal loops.

I did it twice!
At the last time. VA take long time to finish. It report message as your! VA take me 30mins to finish and all things are OK
