Hello,

I have a dl580 with the above controller and cage. One RAID5 drive failed in cage and I replaced but it won't rebuild automatically.
It is in "interim recovery mode" and I can't figure out how to make it recover.
Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi.
MSA30 already configured RAID5 with 642 Array controller, and failed 1 disk, you have no business without disk replacing.
It will be recover automatically.
Regards!
Steve:

Did you configm that the controler "see's" the new drive? Does it appear in teh ACU as an un-used drive?

Do you have a Hot Spare drive configured for the existing array?

Have you tried re-seating the drive?

Steven
