topic Remote Access to HSG80 Controller in Disk Enclosures

Hi
I'm not sure if this is being posted in the appropriate Forum, my apologies..

In our environment we have 2 MA-8000 storage systems. They contain HSG80 Array Controllers using ACS Version 8.5

We are attempting to set up our systems such that we can execute CLI commands against the controllers remotely. i.e. not using the SWCC or the serial port connection. The Compaq StorageWorks HSG80 Array Controller CLI reference manual indicates that there is a third option. In the first couple of pages of chapter 1, there is a reference to 'A remote connection by way of the host system terminal' and 'Using the DUP utility from the system terminal you may also enable a remote connection to the controller.'

Is there any additional information on this particular scenario? I am unable to find anything on the Compaq web site so far. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks - Ron Davis
