We use VCS 5.031
8 disks per shelf.
All RSS are vertical
I power down one shelf for high availabilty test. After power on, the available space on my disk group is wrong

Thank for your help

After the power down, we see all the disk and shelfs in the folder unmappable hardware.

After the power on, I have only alarm on disk group. The alarm is about the protection level on the disk group. The total capacity is 4T but command view or sssu report that the total capacity is 80T now.
There is nothing in the unmappable folder or ungroup disk folder

Thanks

Hi,

How much of unallocated space did you have before the EVA was powered down?

It seems to me that without one shelf EVA does not have enough space for reconstruction, split/merge & leveling. Single protection is just a single protection.

I hope this system is still under testing :o).

My 2 cents.

M.

No, what you see is the maximum size you can create *the next* virtual disk. A virtual disk cannot be larger then 2047SWGB and if the available space is more than that, it will just show 2047.
