Though I do not have access to it right now, I know that the Smart Start Scripting Toolkit can provide a dos based (and linux based I believe) environment where you can boot your server with a dos image or disk, run the dos based array config utility with preset paremeters in a text based file to configure your Smart Array Controller.

As soon as I can get into my lab server, I can give you an example. Probably will not happen until Friday or so as I am traveling on business and will not be back home until Friday. Someone may come along with the same info before me...

Steven

Hello,
we want to develop a bare metal recovery solution for a customer. Many DL380 Servers will be used and they will be running under linux OS.
A solution for creating backups and restore is in work. But it will be a really bare metal restore
without a technican onsite. How can be done the array configuration via script ( without using ACU or ORCA ) ?

kind regards

Th.Müller
