Disk expansion Packaged Cluster

Is it possible to expand existing disks in a DL380 MSA500 Packaged Cluster? OS: Windows 2003.
If I use the expansion feature in ACU and then DiskPart on one node, and then on the other node, do I need to do anything in the actual cluster? Can this be done?

YOu can only use diskpart on your data drives, not your OS. ASsuming this is what you are talking about.... then yes.... you use ACU to extend the logical drive and then diskpart to extend the partition. You ONLY need to extend the partition on ONE node...

The procedure is simple...

1. Shutdown the second node.
2. take the group offline that has the disk you want to extend.
3. Bring the disk resource online only
4. run diskpart and related commands
5. complete, bring resources back online.

Is it the same procedure if it is a active/active cluster (not the MSA, just the cluster)
Also, what is the latest working firmware for the MSA500?
And yes, it is the data-disks we are talking about, sorry for not making that clear

It does not matter if the cluster is A/A. It is suggested that the 2nd node be offline (cluster server stopped) and the resource group offline except for the disk. With that in mind, your other resource groups can stay online and continue to run. You can probably even get away with leaving the 2nd node running and either just pausing it or making sure the group can not failover during the process. (which takes all of about 2 seconds)

Will have to check on the firmware..
