    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We have an MSA 1500 with dual controllers which had a problem with the drive controllers failing over between each other.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;After updating the firmware to v5.1, we received the following error codes -&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Scanning - Bus 1... running state                               (11383:11344)&lt;BR /&gt;scsi_error_resolution: drive=0x2E sense_key=0x06 sense_code=0x29 retries=1 (1139&lt;BR /&gt;6:11357)&lt;BR /&gt;Timer Timeout current_count_bus[1]=51, current_count[0x2c]=0x07, Drive=0x2c Phys&lt;BR /&gt;ical=524dc8  - cdb opcode=0x28 (13232:13193)&lt;BR /&gt;Bus 1 Reset&lt;BR /&gt; Scanning - Bus 1... running state                               (13263:13224)&lt;BR /&gt;scsi_error_resolution: drive=0x2C sense_key=0x06 sense_code=0x29 retries=1 (1327&lt;BR /&gt;5:13236)&lt;BR /&gt;Timer Timeout current_count_bus[1]=60, current_count[0x2c]=0x1c, Drive=0x2c Phys&lt;BR /&gt;ical=5165cc  - cdb opcode=0x28 (14802:14763)&lt;BR /&gt;Bus 1 Reset&lt;BR /&gt; Scanning - Bus 1... running state                               (14833:14794)&lt;BR /&gt;scsi_error_resolution: drive=0x2C sense_key=0x06 sense_code=0x29 retries=1 (1484&lt;BR /&gt;5:14806)&lt;BR /&gt;Timer Timeout current_count_bus[1]=112, current_count[0x2b]=0x1c, Drive=0x2b Phy&lt;BR /&gt;sical=51e0e4  - cdb opcode=0x2a (15792:15753)&lt;BR /&gt;Bus 1 Reset&lt;BR /&gt; Scanning - Bus 1... running state                               (15823:15784)&lt;BR /&gt;scsi_error_resolution: drive=0x2B sense_key=0x06 sense_code=0x29 retries=1 (1583&lt;BR /&gt;5:15796)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It would be great if anyone is able to shed any light on this!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in advance,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;John</description>

      <description>Looks like you have either one or more drives or a scsi cable problem on bus 1. The reset is an extreme step for the controller to take to get control of the bus back. The sense key and the sense code are basically saying the drive asserted unit attention due to a bus reset. That condition should be cleared on the next I/O sent to the drive/s. If the condition persist then you would need to isolate the drives one by one and see which one is causing the bus resets to occur. Check the cable too and make sure it has not come loose from the either end.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hello John,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Along with what Allan stated.  Can you attach the MSA cli cable and issue the command &amp;gt;show tech_support.</description>
