You need to make sure that you have installed the HP branded driver. By default, it should enable multipathing.

Good afternoon!
Could anyone, please, explain me the problem?
I've created a virtual disc on EVA-4000 and assigned it to a linux-host. However, from the host side it looks like 2 different discs, that we can mount on our system. (LUN is the same, but ID is different). Of course, there is no difference, which disk will we mount, because psychically it will be the same disk.
My question is: why the system recognizes this virtual disk as 2 separate disks? Do controllers play any role in this situation?

host:~# cat /proc/scsi/scsi
Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: HP Model: HSV200 Rev: 6000
Type: RAID ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 08
Vendor: HP Model: HSV200 Rev: 6000
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00
Vendor: HP Model: HSV200 Rev: 6000
Type: RAID ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 08
Vendor: HP Model: HSV200 Rev: 6000
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: HP Model: HSV200 Rev: 6000
Type: RAID ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00
Vendor: HP Model: HSV200 Rev: 6000
Type: RAID ANSI SCSI revision: 05

host:~# lsscsi
[0:0:0:0] storage HP HSV200 6000 -
[0:0:0:8] disk HP HSV200 6000 -
[0:0:1:0] storage HP HSV200 6000 -
[0:0:1:8] disk HP HSV200 6000 -
[1:0:0:0] storage HP HSV200 6000 -
[1:0:1:0] storage HP HSV200 6000 -

Koch,

You need to have this handy guide with you. Page 9 onwards tells you where to get the drivers and how to install.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00370802/c00370802.pdf
