system parameters...

Hi,

I have palnned to upgrade my storage to EVA8000, 2C2D model.Operating system is
openvms 7.3-2.

my question is what are all the system parameter (sysgen) needs to change in openvms ?

what is effective method of data migration ?

is there any document available for above requirements .. plz give the details.

Hi,
I'm not aware of any sysgen parameters [or any others for that matter] that you will need to change in VMS for adding in an EVA8k. As far as I am aware there are no problems with 7-3.2 and EVA's in general. Somebody else may know different or there may be other notes in these forums if you search for them. For that version all the mpio drivers are built in so that should not be a problem.

As for how to migrate your data, what are you migrating from ??? more information may well be useful there. I would suggest a full backup from old storage device[s], configure EVA & then full restore to EVA.

I want move the data which is in my old storage (RA8000) to EVA8000.

i am new to this storage concepts ..

i want to know how to move the data from one storage to other ..

plz give any documets ...
