Hi ,

I have a HP 10K and ,I installed command view 5.5 server .I have around 5 unix host connected to the array .
After installing server ,I started to install commnad view agent on different host ,the first host on which I installed agent was immediately visible in commnad view GUI ,but as I installed agent on later host ,none of the host become visible in GUI .I had to forcibily add host later ,by option of ADD HOST ,and by given WWN numbers of host .By this way of forcibily adding host not all the information about host like IP address and filesystem is available in command view .How can I possibly get that info in command view ,or how can be host automatically detected in command view ?

I even tried to start and stop the agent on hosts but of no use ...

Thanks in advance ....

Cheers,
Admsnap

Hi,

Can you clarify which array you're using...

It sounds like you're talking about an EVA, but there isn't a 10K model.

However from what you've said it sounds like the zoning on your SAN switches isn't set correctly to let the array see the hosts.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Rob

iam using HP XP 10000.
The zoning is also correct ,it that even after installing agent on each server ,only the first server (host )is automatically visible in command view GUI....

Admsnap
