facing problem with hp surestore E Disk array 12h

Dear all,

I am facing problem with above mentioned auto raid box.problem is "Replace y Battery +X "
becos of this in main server every five minutes warning message is coming.so how i can stop is message not coming to server.

pls help me....

Hi,

you have to replace the battery as mentioned. Once this is done, the message will stop.
Without a good battery, performance will be decreased.

Each controller in your 12H has a battery pack that must be replaced. You risk losing data if that battery is not replaced. Assuming that your array has two controllers and that both are connected to the host, you can actually reove the controller and replace the battery while the array remains online although shutting down is a better option.

I would recommend not to shut the array down. Customers might replace all batteries at the same time and that would erase nvram.
Disk arrays are designed to swap parts hot and not when shutted doen this might confuse the device.
