You got the license since you have "HP CV EVA 8K Series Unlimited Lic T5183A", You need to wait till you receive the enveloppe, inside you will find a different HP Order number that works with webware.

Regards,
Farid

You'll need a "License Entitlement Certificate" before you can go to that www.webware.hp.com site and generate a key. This certificate will get sent to you in the mail based on the current level of S/W support you have on your EVA - i.e. no S/W support agreement, no new license. If you haven't gotten the forms to request your "License Entitlement Certificates" yet, I'd contact your HP support person.

Hi,

So far if CV6 or below is under support (it comes with 1 year support upon purchase) then using the corresponding SAID, you should be able to claim CV LTUs from ITRC SUM (Software Update Manager) - you can then generate LTUs from webware.hp.com by entering your EVA WWN.
The tricky thing is that even BC and CA should be migrated..
so they also need to be under support.

Le me know how it goes from your side.

Regards,
Faerid

Hi,

You need to claim whatever CV7 items in SUM, then after the claim is done, review what was claimed by selecting the "rs" check - there you will see all details, look for items like "1TB or Unlim CV LTU for EVAxx series"..

Regards,
Farid

I really appreciate your help, Farid, but I think maybe we have different cases.

All I got when I click rs is something like this:

order number K1UB9999999

Order Status Scheduled
Delivery Date Oct 30, 2007
Release Description Command View EVA 7.0 June 2007

Product Description Product Number Product Version OS Version Platform
HP CV EVA 8K Series Unlimited Lic T5183A 7.0 NOT_APP ANY NOT_APP
HP CV EVA 7.0 Rep Sol Mgr 3.0 Media Kit T3724E 7.0 NOT_APP ANY NOT_APP

Using the order number I tried to get a key at webware, but it does not recognize as a valid id.

Am I missing something?

tks
